Sensat Digital Limited (“Sensat” or “we”) is making a voluntary modern slavery and human trafficking statement relating to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”).
As an organisation, we oppose slavery and human trafficking in all its forms and make this statement to set out the steps we have taken to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our business or in our supply chains.
We are disappointed to see slavery and human trafficking still be an issue in today’s society and firmly believe we all have to take on the responsibility to be aware of the risks, not just within our environment, but with our supply chain and clients.
About Us
Sensat is a private limited company incorporated and registered in England and Wales. The head office of the Sensat group is located in the United Kingdom, with subsidiaries in Australia, Italy (non-trading) and the United States (non-trading).
Sensat uses UAVs and other aerial vehicles to capture data, which is then processed into the company’s cloud-based data visualisation platform, which in turn allows users and customers to interact with the data for surveying and design integration.
Our annual turnover is under £36 million. Although we are not required to make a modern slavery statement under the Act, we are making this voluntary statement to show our commitment to ethical trading principles and to set out the steps we are taking to tackle modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and in our supply chains.
Our Policy on Slavery and Human Trafficking
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business. Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
To help identify and monitor the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain we, where appropriate and viable, vet suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that they are committed to ethical labour practices. In addition, we include general compliance with laws provisions in all our supplier contracts, which capture anti-slavery and human tracking provisions.
In addition:
- where possible we build long standing relationships with our clients and make clear our expectations of business behaviour;
- with regards to national or international supply chains, our point of contact is preferably with a UK company or branch and we expect these entities to have suitable anti-slavery and human trafficking policies and processes in place; and
- we have in place systems to encourage the reporting of concerns and the protection of whistleblowers.
We have zero tolerance for slavery and human trafficking. We expect all those in our supply chain, contractors and clients to comply with our values.
Training
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff. Where applicable and viable, we may also require our business partners to provide training to their staff and suppliers and providers.
All directors of Sensat have been briefed on the subject and fully understand the corresponding implications and Sensat’s obligations in that regard.
This voluntary slavery and human trafficking statement is made in connection with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 for the financial year ending 31 December 2023, and has been approved by the board of directors of Sensat.
